Will we get to hear about your experiences with Save the Children as the project unfolds? It would be interesting to get your take on how it's going.

The "Rewrite the Future" campaign could be a valuable vehicle to help eucate and protect children in countries where there is a conflict . I assume one of the goals of this campaign is the empowerment of children. Basic education, including free compulsory quality education for all children. Early childhood development is very important as children should be provided with the best possible start in life.

But what happens when a child who has gotten a best possible start in life is faced with some of the realities such as unemployment, wars, drug trafficking, the need to work to help support the family when that child reaches adolescence?

I believe that the next step a campaign such as "Rewrite the Furute" needs to focus on is post childhood so that the empowerment provided during childhood can continue.

To do so will be prudent, as it will empower children especially in the harshest of conditions, and also where political corruption continues without any hope of changing.

Aww, Aly, you have such a cute way of talking to your readers. Heh.

I am impressed with who you're doing your client project with! You seem to have the idea down--find an organization that needs PR help and pick something specific to help them with. I'm glad you're working with a not-for-profit because not only do many of them need the help of young people who are trained/in training for the business, but they tend to show their appreciation in great ways!

The project that you are involve with includes actions by Save the Children Canada only in Canada or also abroad. I ask because in 1985 I made a film with Save the Children Canada. Specifically with Andrew Ignatieff at that time head of Save the Children Canada in Peru.

I would suggest you send Andrew an invitation to join your blog. You can mention that I have suggested it. Andrew is now Executive Director of CISEPO. Here are his coordinates:

Andrew Ignatieff
Executive Director, CISEPO
